Journal of Defense Resources Management (JoDRM) is a biannual scientific open access, double-blind peer-reviewed publication, released by the Regional Department of Defense Resources Management Studies (DRESMARA) of Brasov, Romania. The journal publishes original research articles, review articles, and case studies exclusively in English language in both print and online formats, each with separate ISSNs.

AIM & SCOPE

Journal of Defense Resources Management (JoDRM) has been published since 2010. It focuses on defense resources management, defense economics, military logistics, capability development, defense planning, and other related issues. It is intended for contributors and readers professionally active in areas of defense management and resource allocation: defense resources managers, military logistics specialists, defense economists, academic staff, students of respective disciplines (defense resources management, defense economics, public administration, strategic studies, etc.), and other interested parties from the Romanian and international defense communities.

The journal publishes high-quality, original research that advances theoretical understanding and practical applications in defense management and economics. JoDRM serves as an international platform for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers, fostering dialogue between academic research and professional practice in defense resource management.

The aim of the journal is to:

  • provide space for presentation and sharing the latest expertise of domestic and international origin in the area of defense resources management and defense economics;
  • form a platform for more extensive mutual information sharing and communication between military resource management practitioners and the academic defense community;
  • cultivate the expert debate over issues related to defense resources allocation, optimization, and strategic capability development;
  • advance scholarly research in defense transformation, modernization, and innovation;
  • promote evidence-based policy development in defense resource management.

Primary Research Areas:

The journal welcomes original research contributions in: military leadership, human resources management and professional military education; defense technology, cybersecurity and emerging technologies; defense economics, budgeting and resource management; hybrid warfare, strategic communication and security threats; military logistics and operational planning; strategic studies, geopolitics and regional security cooperation; defense policy, governance and legal frameworks; maritime and food security; research and development in defense; and social-environmental dimensions of defense and security.

The area of defense resources management is an extremely important part of defense research and practice. The issues associated with defense resource allocation, military logistics, and capability development are and will be more and more at the center of professional and policy attention. The Journal of Defense Resources Management is trying to answer the growing demand for professional information in this field.

PUBLICATION ETHICS AND QUALITY ASSURANCE

JoDRM is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and scholarly integrity. The journal adheres to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines and implements rigorous policies addressing plagiarism detection, authorship criteria, conflicts of interest, data transparency, peer review integrity, and corrections or retractions when necessary.

All submitted manuscripts undergo plagiarism screening using Sistemantiplagiat software.
